“Kasugai” – the Japanese word means a special fastener that is used to build houses.
In modern language, “kasugai” has acquired the meaning of an unbreakable bond between people.
For us, it is the connection between the heart of a master and the connoisseurs of his work; between a person and an object that is created especially for him; between two different but in a constant dialog between the cultures of East and West
The idea to create the Kasugai project was born in 2001, during a visit to the annual Ambiente exhibition in Frankfurt. It happened while getting acquainted with the unique objects of the master Kasumi, which were perfect in everything: from the perfect shape and packaging to the expressive identity that reflected the essence of Japan itself.
